Hurlbut Care Communities is approved to offer a hybrid nurse training program that meets New York State Department of Health requirement. This program will be done over a course of 4 weeks. There will be an assigned RN educator following along to help with questions. The RN educator will be teaching the mandatory clinicals. Clinicals will be done in person onsite so applicants will need to be able to travel for these days.
This program is designed for students who are seeking a CNA position at one of the Hurlbut Care Community locations. In order to be successful in this program, students must be able to work well under pressure, have technology to support the platform, be able to navigate the online platform or app, be able to attend virtual meetings, study independently, be self-motivated to meet deadlines, and access to a printer. Those willing to take a position in another department at a Hurlbut Care location will be a priority for the next upcoming CNA class. Wait list can be a few weeks to months as their is high demand for the CNA class. After completing the CNA class then one would switch into the nursing department. Please indicate in the box below which departments you would be interested in working in while waiting for a CNA class openings. Other entry level departments include dietary, housekeeping, laundry, and activities.
After completion of the course students can start working at one of the Hurlbut Care Locations.
