Robert W. Hurlbut
President
Robert W. Hurlbut is the President of Hurlbut Care Communities and has held this title since 1993. Bob is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, with a degree in Food, Hotel and Travel Management. He serves on numerous community and civic boards. He was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rochester Institute of Technology in 1998 and was given the University's Sarah Margaret Gillam Award - Hotel School in 2009. He was named one of Rochester's 40 Under 40 by the Rochester Business Journal in 1995. In his personal life, Bob lives in Brighton with his wife Sarah and has two sons, Forrest and Robert.
Robert G. Hurlbut, LNHA
Vice President
Robert has literally grown up in the family business, representing the fourth generation of caring by the Hurlbut family – a family well respected for its service and commitment to the Rochester region and deeply committed to caring for seniors. In fact, as a middle school and high school student, Robert held various positions at Hurlbut Care Communities over the years including roles in recreation, dietary, housekeeping and maintenance. He joined Hurlbut full-time in June 2018 as an Assistant Administrator and was promoted to Administrator of The Hurlbut in November 2019. Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Villanova University.
Mark Curletta, CPA, MBA
CFO
Mark recently joined the team and brings with him his 30 plus years of healthcare financial management experience. He has a BS degree in Accounting from the University of Dayton and a MBA from Baker College. Mark is a CPA and worked in public accounting for 5 years. He and his wife Lavinia live in Churchville, where they raised three sons and two daughters. Mark enjoys spending time with family and is an avid golfer. Over the years Mark has served in various roles at Camp Li-Lo-Li and was the Treasurer for several terms. Mark is from the Buffalo area and is a huge Bills fan!
Lisa Fetterman, RN
Quality Care Coordinator
Lisa Fetterman boasts over two decades of dedicated service in long-term care, beginning her journey as a C.N.A and advancing to LPN and then RN roles. With over 20 years as an RN, she has excelled in diverse positions including Director of Nursing for over a decade, along with roles as Nurse Manager and floor nurse. Lisa's professional ardor lies in Infection Control, honed through acute care experiences in med surg floors and MICUs. Outside the medical realm, she finds joy in crocheting, cooking, and cherishing moments with her husband and children. And above all, Lisa's heart beats for the Cowboys.
Kimberley Danzig, RN, LNHA
Regional Director
Kim joined Hurlbut Care Communities in 1999 and has served in a variety of roles throughout her career. As a Registered Nurse, she has held the titles Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager in several different Hurlbut Care Communities. In 2009, Kim became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for our organization and served at The Hurlbut Nursing & Rehabilitation for 8 years, Hornell Gardens for 8 months, and The Shore Winds Nursing Home for 3 ½ years. Kim holds a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from Nazareth College and an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Monroe Community College. Kim attended St. Joseph’s College of Maine from 2007-2009 to augment her knowledge and fulfill her courses in Health Care / Nursing Home Administration. Kim lives in Hilton, NY with her husband Eric and has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Outside of work, Kim loves all family activities which includes spending quality time with them, cooking, gardening and sports…especially lacrosse and football!  – Go Cincinnati Bengals!
Tom Petrus
Director of Information Technology
Tom started his IT career in the early 90’s. He has held a leadership position at a Fortune 500 company (Johnson & Johnson OCD) – and was the lead of the network department. Tom has also held security clearances for government contracts (Eastman Kodak & ITT Space Systems). He first worked with Hurlbut Health Consulting in 2003 as an IT Consultant and joined the team shortly after. Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Carol at their home in Rush, NY. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and regularly performs various styles of music in the Rochester region.
Melissa Reinhart
Director of Admissions
Melissa is in charge of placing people in the right Hurlbut Care Community to fit their needs. She joined Hurlbut in 2005 and has held various roles throughout her tenure including Social Worker in the rehab unit, Business Office Manager and Admissions Coordinator. Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Gerontology from Nazareth College and a Master’s degree in Education from St. John Fisher College. She is a native of Rochester, growing up in Honeoye Falls, and is married with a six-year old son. When she’s not at the office, you can find Melissa volunteering for her son’s soccer league or participating in Spartan races with her husband.
Ryan Bonnell
Director of Rehabilitation
Ryan worked as full-time Occupational Therapist/Rehab Director for Woodside Manor and Rehab Director for Penfield Place prior to being promoted to his current position as Director of Rehabilitation for all the Hurlbut Care Communities. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Buffalo and worked as an Occupational Therapist at University Hospital in Syracuse, then Rochester General Hospital before joining Hurlbut in 1998. He coaches a youth Brighton Jr. Barons football team and the Jr. Barons 12U Monroe County Regional Baseball travel team. He regularly attends and supports Browncroft Community Church. Ryan and his wife of 17 years have a son and daughter.
Doris P. Garcia, LNHA
Administrator, The Brightonian Nursing & Rehabilitation
Doris celebrated 20 years with Hurlbut Care Communities in 2013. Her background includes significant educational experience, as she holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Gerontology and Psychology. Married with two children, Doris is fluent in three languages and is also a classically trained pianist. She contributes to the community by fundraising for the American Diabetes Association and sponsoring a youth soccer program, among other giving-back activities.
Kelly Davids, RN, LNHA
Administrator, Newark Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation
Kelly brings extensive experience at Hurlbut Care Communities and other medical facilities to her administrator role. She started with our organization as a nurse coordinator on a rehabilitation floor, then moved up to be Director of Nursing at Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation for over nine years. She served as Assistant Administrator at Hornell Gardens and Administrator of Elm Manor prior to coming to Newark Manor. Kelly enjoys reading, as well as hiking and camping with her husband and three sons. She also volunteers with her church’s youth ministry and teaches Sunday school and vacation bible school.
James Donofrio, MSHA, LNHA
Administrator, Hamilton Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation
James was born and raised in Rochester, NY. In 2010, he began his career in healthcare and quickly grew to love the nursing home industry. He joined Hurlbut Care Communities in 2015 as an Assistant Administrator for The Hurlbut Nursing Home. James completed and holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. During that time, he has accomplished some commendable milestones which include; New Administrator of the Year Award for The American College of Health Care Administrators (AHCHA) NY Chapter and the Dr. William Walence Health Care Organization Transformation Award. He and his wife Lisa currently have one son named Landon and a Goldendoodle named Rooney. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, staying active, family time and watching some Notre Dame Football!
Dominique Baker, MHA, LNHA
Administrator at Latta Road East and West
Dominique joined Hurlbut Care Communities in July 2021. She has one very active daughter and a large close knit family. Dominique has numerous years of hands on experience working in the Monroe county community as an EMT and care manager. Her educational background consists of a Bachelor’s in Psychology from St. John’s University and a Masters in Health Administration obtained at Roberts Wesleyan College.
Michele Cone, RN, LNHA
Administrator, Conesus Lake Nursing Home
Michele joined Hurlbut Care Communities in December of 2022. Michele has served in a variety of roles throughout her nursing career. As a registered Nurse she has served as a Nurse Manager, Staff Development Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Director of Nursing. Michele holds a BS in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College, which is also where she completed her course work for her Nursing Home Administrator License. Michele lives in Livonia with her husband Brian and her chocolate lab Ringo. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Alaina Maley
MHA, LNHA – Administrator, Woodside Manor
Alaina joined Hurlbut Care Communities in October 2019, as the Administrator of Woodside Manor. She brings over 15 years of experience working with seniors in skilled nursing, assisted, enhanced, and independent living facilities and communities, as well as nine years of pharmacy experience. Alaina holds a Master's degree in Health Care Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, and Economics.
Robert Rubens, LNHA
Administrator, Penfield Place Nursing & Rehabilitation
As the Administrator for Penfield Place Robert makes sure his facility run smoothly. He joined Hurlbut Care Communities as an Administrator in November 2018 and has 18 years of previous employment with Hurlbut Care Communities as an Administrator for Woodside Manor Facility, Shorewinds Nursing Facility, Wedgewood Nursing Facility and Avon Nursing Facility. He holds an AAS in Food Service Management from Monroe Community College and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Gerontology from Nazareth College. Robert was a 2018 Recipient of the ELI PICK Award for Long Term Care Leadership. He’s also a current board member for the Foundation for Long Term Care which provides scholarships to area health care workers. Robert has two daughters — one who is working as a sous chef and another who is a college sophomore, majoring in Criminal Justice.
John Gagnon
LNHA – Administrator, Avon Nursing Home
John is excited to re-join Hurlbut Care Communities after previously serving as Administrator at Avon Nursing Home and Penfield Place Nursing & Rehabilitation.  He has worked for over 35 years in the skilled nursing field, with the past 20 as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator.  John is a certified Dementia Care Practitioner.  He graduated from Niagara University with a BS in Hotel Management.  John and his wife Michele have a daughter Angela and Lucy a yellow lab.  Outside of work John enjoys family time, sports and is a huge Buffalo Bills fan!
Rebecca Butler,  LNHA
Administrator at Seneca Nursing and Rehab
Rebecca Butler is a compassionate leader committed to enhancing the lives of seniors in the Finger Lakes region. With a Masters in Gerontology from The University of Utah, she has dedicated herself to elder care, including roles as a nursing home social worker in Tennessee and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for eleven years. Their passion extends beyond professional endeavors; she enjoys family time with her husband and three sons, engaging in activities like board games and outdoor adventures. Additionally, she serves as a Sunday School teacher and advisory board member for Finger Lakes Community Action, embodying the values of community service and compassion.
Timothy Srye
Administrator at The Hurlbut
Tim's journey towards becoming a nursing home administrator was deeply influenced by his grandmother's experience in a nursing home, sparking his desire to make a difference in elder care. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration from SUNY Brockport, he earned his administrator's license in 2021. After serving as an Administrator in Buffalo, Tim recently returned to his hometown of Rochester in September 2023, joining Hurlbut Care Communities as the Administrator of The Hurlbut. Before obtaining his license, he contributed to geriatric research as a research assistant at Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research, Cornell University. Beyond his professional pursuits, Tim indulges in exploring new restaurants, attending music concerts, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.
