Henrietta, an Avon Nursing and Rehabilitation resident since 2012, is 101 years young and recently beat COVID-19! Better known as ‘Hank’ by her friends and staff at Avon, she was able to recover due to her strength and resiliency, as well as the care of Avon’s committed and dedicated staff.
Every member of Hank’s care team is thrilled to have helped her recover, and get back to doing what she enjoys most, watching colorful birds from her window while drinking many cups of coffee and milk (her favorites!) throughout the day. Everyone at Avon Nursing and Rehabilitation is so grateful to see her warm smile back!
To date, 7 residents of Avon Nursing and Rehabilitation have recovered from COVID-19, as well as over 30 residents of Hurlbut Care Communities, much in part to our compassionate and attentive staff. We are remaining vigilant, screening and testing staff, adhering to the no visitors mandate, wearing PPE, and are confident we will see positive cases continue to decrease. With the weather starting to warm up, we will soon be able to have residents enjoy our outdoor courtyards and gardens safely. Stay hopeful; we will get through this together.
