In the most recent edition of the Rochester Business Journal, the publication posted a list of the top 75 largest area employers among private sector companies. We’re proud to say that Hurlbut Care Communities ranked #17 on that list. And we’re also proud to be able to provide rewarding careers to over 1,500 talented and dedicated people in our region.
I’d like to mention a very important aspect related to the people that work at Hurlbut Care Communities in skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation. Every one of them is an employee of Hurlbut Care Communities. Some other facilities use staffing agencies, temps, and contract workers to fill their employee rosters. We believe it’s better for everyone involved if each person works directly for us. Because when they work for us, they work with us. I simply believe it results in greater employee engagement and commitment. And the length of time our employees stay and grow with us bears this out. We often celebrate and recognize employees at our facilities with 20, 30, and even 40 years with our organization – a testament to our culture and their love of what they do.
